NUTRITION SYSTEMS CUSTOMER COMMUNICATION - UPDATE
Nutrition
Systems and Nutrition Systems NZ Pty Ltd wish to advise that after
extensive consultation with the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA)
it has been decided that the Australian formulation of Hydroxycut
products can continue to be distributed and purchased in Australia.
The
TGA (Australia's health and medicine regulatory authority) approved
their continued sale on the basis that the Australian Hydroxycut
formula is different to the US formulas and contains a number of
different ingredients. The TGA has advised that it has no records of
any reported adverse health impacts in Australia of the kind referred
to by the FDA in the US.
In
New Zealand a small amount of US formulated product was distributed and
a precautionary recall is being carried out for these products.
However, Australian products bearing the AUST L number on the label
remain unaffected and continue to be sold throughout New Zealand.
Nutrition
Systems has also received advice from Iovate Health Sciences Inc. of
Oakville, Ontario, Canada, the manufacturer of all Hydroxycut products
worldwide, via a media release issued yesterday. This can be viewed on
the Nutrition Systems website at www.nutritionsystems.com.au.
Based
on the above, Nutrition Systems and Nutrition Systems NZ Pty Ltd will
continue to distribute the Australian AUST L Hydroxycut products and
you can continue to have confidence in supplying them to your customers.
