My Secret To Killer Drug-Free Gains: Halodrol Liquigels™ and Novedex XT®

Two
years ago, in February of 2006, I made a decision to stop using
steroids after having been juicing on and off for the better part of
eight years. In a nutshell, my main reasons were fear of long-term
health problems if I continued, and an equal fear of getting in trouble
with the law sooner or later. I had been seeing plenty of both among my
peers in the bodybuilding world. Additionally, I couldn’t justify using
steroids when I made my living as a writer and trained and competed
purely for my own satisfaction. Still, it was not an easy decision
saying goodbye to those powerful muscle-building drugs, and I was not
really looking to going back to training again without that nice
‘boost’ they had provided. There were plenty of products on the market
that promised to deliver the same types of effects: gains in lean
muscle mass and strength, enhanced pumps, more aggression during
training, and faster recovery from workouts. Yeah, right. Trying to
compare most of these products to real steroids is about as realistic
as comparing holding hands with Mary Lou Pureheart to a night of
anything-goes animal sex with Jenna Jameson!
Luckily
for me, I only screwed around with a couple of those ‘wannabe’ products
for a few months with utterly disappointing results before Bruce
Kneller moved from Indiana to the next town over from me in the south
shore of Massachusetts. Bruce had been designing supplements for heavy
hitters like Biotest and Nutrex. At the time he moved back here, he had
just started working with Gaspari Nutrition and had developed a
remarkable anti-aromatase product called Novedex XT®.
Seeing
that my body was still struggling to return to a hormonal state of
equilibrium and my estrogen levels were much higher than they should
have been, I was very eager to give Novedex XT® a try. As you may know,
some symptoms of high estrogen and low testosterone include fatigue,
depression, loss of muscle along with fat gain (nice double whammy
there), loss of libido, and erectile dysfunction. Yeah, I was just
loving life – not. I would say that I wasn’t expecting much from
Novedex XT®, but that’s a lie. I had used products Bruce Kneller had
developed for other companies, and not one had ever let me down. That’s
saying a lot in the supplement industry, let me tell you. Within less
than two weeks, I was starting to look and feel more like the ‘real
me,’ not this sad wimp that I had turned into once I quit juicing cold
turkey.
Things got a lot more interesting a few
months later with the introduction of Halodrol Liquigels™. Once I
started cycling Halodrol with Novedex XT®, I truly began to experience
many of the same sensations as when I was on the gear: heightened sex
drive, lean mass gain, and ferocious workouts. I wouldn’t say I looked
just like I did on steroids, but pretty damn close. My face didn’t have
that haggard aged look that it did when I was juicing, and I wasn’t
holding five gallons of water under my skin, either. Most of the mass,
and none of the premature aging and puffiness – and I wasn’t breaking
the law, either. I started thinking about competing again.
Non-tested
shows were out of the question, obviously. I wasn’t about to be the
martyr walking into a gunfight with a baseball bat. Without having an
exact show in mind, I spent the last half of 2006 trying to put on as
much mass as possible without getting a double chin and a
cellulite-dimpled ass in the process.
The Halodrol
and Novedex XT® helped take me to a respect-able 235lbs. at 5’8”,
roughly the biggest I had ever been in the past when jamming my ass
full of syringes loaded up with test cypionate, deca, equipoise and
tren. If I was a few pounds heavier in my off-season days all juiced
up, it was nothing more than excessive water retention and bloat. I
look back at those pictures of me at a ‘roided-out 240 and cringe. My
235 lbs. on the Gaspari stack was much more impressive – and I didn’t
have to worry that it was all going to vanish in a puff of smoke,
either.
In the beginning of 2007, I targeted the
NPC Natural Colonial Cup in August as the show where I would make my
natural ‘comeback.’ I had to win this thing. I had done over 20 shows
since 1989, and I was 37 years old. It was time to ‘shit or get off the
pot,’ so to speak. God knows I wanted more than anything else to go out
as a winner. I dieted very gradually over a period of over seven
months. That sounds extreme to some of you I’m sure, but there was a
method to my madness. By losing the bodyfat so slowly, I was able to
retain all my hard-earned muscle mass – and believe it or not, even put
a little bit more on! Halodrol Liquigels™ and Novedex XT® were my
secret weapons and aces in the hole during this long and grueling diet.
They helped me stay full, energetic, and kept my test levels nice and
high and my estrogen levels where they were supposed to be. This has
been confirmed via blood tests on several occasions, which was also a
huge relief to me. The first time I had my bloodwork done just a couple
months after quitting steroids, my total test levels were around 200 –
not high enough to build muscle in my left thumb!
Because
I am all over the Internet and in several magazines, you may already
know how the story ended. For the first time in my two decades of
competing, I won the Overall. And though I had my doubters regarding my
natural status, I pissed in a cup the minute I left the stage, and
Quest Diagnostics found my urine to be completely free of steroids.
It’s
been a while now since the contest, and I am back into mass-gaining
mode. My weapons of choice, the only supplements I won’t take any
substitutes for, are my Halodrol Liquigels™ and Novedex XT®. Things are
going very well, so much so that I can already predict that my
‘retirement’ from competition may still be many years away. After all,
why stop when you’re on a roll? I just want to take this opportunity to

steroids’ a happy ending!
