Universal Nutrition - Frequently Asked Questions about their Stak Combos
Posted on February 3rd, 2009
I
have recently been flooded with questions about Universal Nutrition Stak products, when to take, whether the staks can be combined, what
staks should be taken for building mass and getting cut. You know,
those types of questions. Great questions, that everyone who is serious
about their training, should be asking. Hey, I want to know what is in
all those tablets and what staks are good for what training goals and
be proactive about learning what is good and what is not so good. So I
did a bit of research and found this great resource at animalpak.com. I
need to share this with you.

Basically, the format is in Question and Answer (i.e. FAQ’s) and I
think the questions cover a good range of Universal Nutrition topics.
So here it is.
Q. Is Animal Pak a multivitamin?
A. Animal Pak is and is not a multivitamin?
One of its components is a complete and comprehensive multivitamin
that’s true. In fact, as a multivitamin alone, nothing comes close to
Animal Pak in terms of potency as explained above. That’s why Animal
Pak is the #1 selling training pack in the world. But Animal Pak isn’t
just a multi. It contains a range of essential and non-essential amino
acids, digestive enzymes, electrolytes, antioxidants, lipotropics, and
other nutrients to support lifters. Animal Pak is a complete “training”
pack.
Q. Can I use the different Animal products together?
A.
Animal products were designed to work together for maximum results. You
can use Animal Pak with every other Animal supplement. For specific
stacks, please consult our Animal Owner’s Manual, or click here.
However, there are two factors to consider: (1) the timing of the
different supplements and (2) what your training goals are. For
example, if you’re stacking Animal Cuts with Animal Stak, be sure to
avoid taking them at the same time.
Q. Can I take Animal Pak with other supplements?
A.
When used as a complete system, you don’t need any supplements other
than Animal–all the basic nutritional bases are covered: protein,
aminos, performance enhancers, recovery nutrients,
thermogenic/metabolic enhancers, creatine, glutamine, BCAAs, and more.
You can take the Animal Pak with pretty much every other supplement out
there. Avoid taking the Animal Cuts with other thermogenic supplements.

Q. Is timing important for Animal products?
A.
For some products, it matters, for others, no. Animal Pak can be taken
pretty much any time of the day and it doesn’t have to be cycled
on/off. Animal Stak should be taken 30-45 minutes before you hit the
weights. On non-training days, take it at about the same time as you
would if you were training. With Nitro and Nitro G you should them
30-45 minutes after you lift. Optionally, you can take them 30-45
minutes before training.
Q. I want to take the Cuts and the Stak together, but I workout after 6pm. Any advice?
A.
Take the Cuts first thing in the morning, and again in the afternoon
before lunch. Take the Stak 30 minutes before you lift. Always take the
Stak and Cuts at different times. For example, if you train at 8am,
then take the Stak at 7:30am, the Cuts before lunch, and the last Cuts
before dinner.
Q. Can I take the M-Stak and Stak at the same time?
A.
You can take the M-Stak and Stak products, but you will have to stagger
taking them over time. Look at your training schedule. When do you
train? If you train at 5pm, then take the Stak at 4:30pm. Take the
M-Stak 3-4 hours apart. In this case, take the M-Stak at around
12:30pm. Always take the Stak before you lift, and the M-Stak at a
different time.
Q. I’ve got enough mass, but I’m having a hard time with some stubborn flab. Help.
A.
Once again, begin your supplement stack with the Animal Pak. Next, add
the Animal Cuts. A cycle or two should do the trick. If your fat is
really stubborn, or if you’re doing a lot of cardio, throw the Animal Nitro or Nitro G in there to make sure you don’t lose any lean mass.
Q. I want maximum definition and mass. What’s the best combo?
A.
That’s the perfect stack. The Stak/Cuts combo would be ideal for the
athlete looking to fine tune his physique. With this stack, you can
achieve sharper definition, deeper cuts, and vascularity while
simultaneously maintaining or even gaining additional lean mass. Never
take the Cuts and Stak at the same time. Stagger your dosages of each.
For example, if you train in the afternoon, take a Cuts pak first thing
in the morning. Then, take a Stak pack 30 minutes before working out.
Finally, take your last Cuts 4-6 hours later. The Stak/Cuts combo is
ideal when you want to maximize muscle while minimizing body fat
accumulation.
